Books I read in November

Here is my monthly updates on the books I read. Because you liked it, this will come back monthly! I now gave it a place on my blog in the menu under other-monthly book reviews. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

J.P. Delaney- The girl before (Thriller)

I like the way this book is written. As a reader you’ll jump in each chapter between the current tenant of a home and the previous one. The chapters are very short, so you can easily put away this book because of that. (Not because you want to though…….)
I have to admit, I sometimes found it hard to know which tenant you were reading about, because the storylines of the two are quite similar. But that is also the strenght of this story.
It’s not a predictable thriller and I definitely recommend it!

Robert Bryndza – Nine Elms (Thriller)

This book is the first book in a series. From this writer I really liked his series about Erika Foster, so I already knew this is a good writer!
But this writer always makes up such a plot twist that you can never know who is the culprit while reading the book. I’m not sure I really like that, because I really like to suspect someone during my reads.
But on the other hand, I still suspect someone while reading his books. I spoke to someone else who recently read this book and I suspected someone else as she did, so that’s how good of a writer Robert Bryndza is!

This book (and this series) is about a detective whose colleague turned out to be a serial killer. When he tried to kill her when she found out he was the serial killer they were after, she had him locked up. She couldn’t continue as a detective though. But this book is the start of her working is a detective again, because they tried to catch a serial killer who imitates the murders of her former colleague.

RaeAnne Thayne – Brambleberry House (Roman)

This is an easy to read story and I finished it in one weekend. Still, it has a nice storyline. It’s about a mother who moved to a town she used to spend her holidays as a kid with her two childeren. She then runs into her childhood sweetheart and guess what….. These feelings come back!

Are you in for a easy-to-read, thin (e-) book? Then this is definitely recommended.
If you really enjoy it, this is the start of a short series! So you can also read the other three books.

Next month

I am now reading Sofie Sarenbrant – killer deal. I will let you know next month if I liked it! Stay tuned.
