Pasta Aglio, my favorite spaghetti dish

Garlic, who doesn’t love it? I do! And since you can taste it very well in this spaghetti recipe. This might be the reason why I like this so much……
And since today is world-spaghetti-day, I thought it is a great time to share this recipe with you all!

Ingrediënts (for 2 persons)

200 grams of spaghetti
2 cloves of garlic (or a little more)
20 gr flat parsley
A small teaspoon of chili flakes
Pine nuts
Olive oil
salt

How?:

Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package. Put some pasta water aside while draining the spaghetti.

In the mean time chop the parsley and peel the garlic.

Then heat a lot of olive oil in another pan and crush the garlic and fry it in the oild. Then you can throw in the rest of the ingredients. If you like a bit crunchy pine nuts you can also add it when the dish is ready. Use already roasted pine nuts then.

If everything is warm enough, add this mix to your spaghetti and stir. If neccessary put some pasta water in the pan also to make it less dry.

Your (side) dish is ready!

Tips

I really like the taste of this dish, so I like to eat things next to it, not mixed with it.
I like a salad or broccoli best together with a piece of (vegetarian) meat.
And if I’m totally honest, I sometimes also skip the vegetables for a day and just enjoy this cheatmeal …

If you want vegatables and an easy meal? Then I prefer to eat bacon or chicken and as vegetables I add spinach or broccoli. You can also add some Parmesan cheese.

You don’t like dried herbs? Use a half chopped red pepper in stead of the chili flakes.

Do you love pasta, but you are not a garlic lover? Then take a look at this pasta recipe.
